he
following evalauations can be seen in the mystical sources
regarding death:
Ibn-u Omar Radyallahu Anhuma tells : ‘’
I was together with the Rasul of
Allah Aleyhissalatu Vesselam. One of the companions came
and greeted him and asked ‘’Oh! You the Rasul of
Allah! Which of the believers is the most virtuous?
The
answer was ‘’The one who who has the best behaviour’’
Then the man asked ‘’Which of the believers is the most
intelligent?’’
The answer was ‘’Those who remember death most and the one
who makes the best preperation for the life after death. These
people are the most intelligent ones.’’
Hz.Aiþe
Radýyallahu Anha narrates:
‘’The rasul of Allah Aleyhissalatu Vesselam said the
following when his health was in good condition:
‘’None
of the prophets life his taken
before he sees his position in Heaven. Following this,
he is let to
continue his life and
he is left free for passing over to the other world.’’
The
Koran-al Karim says:
‘’Küllü nefs’in
zaikatül mevt’’ (Ali Imran/185)
(Every
soul will taste death)
Hz.Omar
also tries to tell what he feels by saying the following
‘’Death
could be tomorrow, maybe it is more closer than
tomorrow…’’
The
happenning named as death results when the activities of the
brain stop. When the brain stops, the electricity in the body is
cut off and the
function of the magnetism joining the spirit to the body
ends.
From that moment on the individual will be finding himself in a
life where he will be feeling as a ‘’Spirit body’’.
He will be fully conscious and his mind will be with him too.
There is no death in the consciousness.
In
other dimensions death will show itself with different
characteritics..
For example, the death of the ginns whose life extend almost to
100 years according to our measurements of
time, will be by getting detached from the community that
they are in.
This can also be defined as passing over to a sleeping stage.
As for the angels, it is impossible to speak about their death.
In these unitary
/ thought structures there is no death, because there is no
time.
Death
is the basic rule of our existence, our lives and it comes in
front of us person as a reality.
It is an involuntary event. It is like the law of gravity, like
respiration. In other words it is not something of
our choice,
but it is something which you have to put up with.
It is impossible to resist death. This will be against the laws
of the nature...
Not a single individual has been informed about his time of death. The conscious accepts the feeling of death by
absorbing it. The
individual can never escape from this feeling
no matter what the conditions are.
There is no game playing with death.
The
feeling of death exceeds the limits of
any ordinary feeling in any human being who has felt this
fear.
In
spite of the fact that the human being accepts death as an
inevitable destiny, when the closest people whom he considers as
part of himse lf pass away from this world he feels extreme
sorrow. This
sorrow, this pain is also experienced for the other individuals
depending on the order of their
closeness to the individual.
Only those, who have not set up an order according to the
conditions of this world do not feel the sorrow and they are not
afraid of death.
Omar hayyam in one of his
rubai(s) has spoken about this
in the following manner:
‘’Do not scatter around the fear that you wil die and get
lost…
So long as you are on the branch which climbs from non existance
to existance,
You become resurrected with love like Hz.Jesus;
There is no death for you as long as this world exists.’’
We can say that any person who has chosen death by means of committing suicide has asked for Hell in advance.
As a matter of fact, the unavaoidable thing which we call death
is not getting lost, but a beginning of transformation.
The architect of this transformation is Azrael (a.s).
What
is important is the gain from the new life which is going to
begin with death.
This is the reason why people get prepared for the life after
death.
The person with belief has to be ready for that life.
If
one speaks behind a
dead person, if he makes backbiting, then he will be paying for
it.
Together
with death, the spirit of the individual passes over to other
dimensions. Looking for him inside the grave would be useless.
The suggestion of Hz.Rasul of Allah ‘’Go and visit the
graveyards frequently, because they’ll remind you of
death’’ should
not be understood as
going and visiting your dead relatives and friends in their
graves. It should be understood as ‘’do this frequently so
that you can see what the end will be and save this fact in the
data of the brain and stop yourself from leaning towards the worldly life, putting more weight on the worldly
life’’…
A
saint will know about the visit made to his grave. If the visitor is an ordinary person, then the saint will not be
in the grave. If the visitor is a saint of equal level as him,
then he is free to come to the grave. He can greet the visitor
from where he is.
However, if the level of the saint is higher than him, then he
has to come to the grave to meet him.
Any
human being, in his journey to the unknown universe should know
that this universe will be the main universe in his life
extending till infinity and he must get prepared for those
circumstances.
Hz.Rasul of Allah has said
metaphors that have this reality and where the concept of
‘’death’’ is used .
Some of them are;
‘’Die before death comes to you’’
‘’The humans are asleep and they wake up when they
die’’….
‘’Do
not come to my grave without a small tambourine, because to be
in a sorrowful state is not proper at the presence of
Allah’’. Most probably Mawlana, by these words has
interpreted this meaning which Allah’s Rasul had wanted to
tell us and he has described death for the people who leave this
world with the above realisation as ‘’þebi arus / the wedding night’’.
