eople
used to live many tragic events related to this concept in the
flow of history.
A
mystic thinker portrayed this fact in his writings by saying
“Things
you trust melt like the snow melting in the Sun and you don’t
even know about it.”
Betrayal
may appear at any moment of the life or at a time when there is
an important need for support.
For
example:
Like the famous historical words that
Ceasar had said before he died after he had been stabbed by a
dagger under the statue of Pompeius….
“You,
too Brutus?..”
His
cry expresses his bewilderment against his best friend’s
unexpected betrayal when he recognized Brutus among the
conspirators who stabbed him. Since then this has been engraved
in the minds as a lesson to all.
Likewise,
one of Jesus’ disciples delivering Jesus to the
rabbis of the synagogue is
a document of betrayal
which will always be remembered both
in the universe of the
humans and in the mystical dimension.
The interesting part was that
Jesus did not have any difficulty in identifying the
disciple who was going to betray him.
He described him in a cynical way
by giving a hint
:-
“The
one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me
!’’ Matthew 26.23’’
This
finding is a result of
the ability of discovery. It is
the result of being Allah’s Rasul..
The
whole Christian world goes on believing that Hz.Jesus was
crucified. However, the real episode was that the
angels had squeezed
the disciple in a circle of betrayal
and made him look like Jesus.
So, actually it
was Judas who had been crucified and
Jesus’
soul got separated
from his body physically and in this manner he left the life in
the world.
The
Koran-al Karim says
that Hz. Jesus had
left the world through a
normal way of death without being crucified.
Another
obvious example of the betrayal is related Hz.Omar
one of the caliphs of
Islam.
Like Jesus, he had also informed the people around him about
what he was going to face the next day,
one day before the incident. He told them that his slave
would betray and kill him.
Betrayal
interrupts the normal flow of life,
it is an event whose job is to
do the shocking. It is as if an exciting adventure gets
blocked/smothered all
of a sudden and
stays in that condition for a long time…
This
concept that upsets the
minds is a
behaviour that never gets along with the concept
of friendship. At
times when one suffers from betrayal,
in order to eliminate the pressure on him he should
choose the depths
of the time factor, should definitely control himself
and he should never
act in an
uncontrolled manner.
Naturally, at
these times s/he is not in a mood to live the kind of
romances that are seen in the soap/operas.
However,
s/he doesn’t have any
other choice.
The
ones who stay away from complaining, accusing and who approach
the cruelest events with tolerance
can forgive all kinds of
mistakes. On the other hand they can’t excuse only one
kind of betrayal easily.
This is the result of
this delicate
detail.
It
is wrong to emphasize the betrayal only with the known
behaviour. Some other kinds of actions made by
the individual may
be considered within the scope of
betrayal too...
If
a person doesn’t care about his body and if he is a
dependent of narcotics and alcohol, then this in a way
is a betrayal that he does to himself , isn’t that so?
Or isn’t it considered as a kind of betrayal if
one doesn’t take care of t somebody for whom he is
obligated to look after?
Also,
extravagance in everything is a betrayal made to the society,
don’t you think so?
There
are many more kinds of betrayal. If we add the ones you’ve
find to the ones I’ve listed, surely it will form very
long lists. In my
opinion, the biggest betrayal is
the one made by the human beings who
have been chosen as a
“Caliph” to
go on living without taking this into consideration and
enjoying himself by giving in to the wishes of
the devil
even after Allah’s knowledge
has reached him.
This
is the kind of betrayal that will be never forgiven…
