THE
BARMAN and JOE
WHO TURNED INTO A STONE
One
day, Joe, who had been a prisoner for
40 years, thought that he could train one of
the ants in his cell,
for the purpose of earning money after he has left prison. He worked on the ant for forty years. So, the ant started to do
whatever has been ordered to
it: "Turn
a somersault", it
immediately turned a sommersault, "Stand
on your hands", it immediately stood on its hands.
Joe said "That is tremendous;
after I come out of the prison I can be very rich through this
ant."
On the day he was set
free, he put his ant into a match box,
ran to the nearest bar and started to drink
glasses of whisky one
after the other. He did not
have a single penny, but he thought "When the barmen brings the bill,
I am going to show the ant,
he will be so astonished that he would forget to ask for money; instead he
will give me money in return."
The
barmen, after he brought the bill, went on washing the glasses. Right at
this moment Joe, took his ant out
of the match box, put it on the counter
and said to the barmen "Have a look! Look at
this ant!"
The barmen replied "Oh! I
am terribly sorry. I haven’t seen it..." and with his
thumb pressed over the
ant, crushed it and with the cloth on his shoulder pushed it beneath the
counter.
Since
that moment at the very same stool of the bar, there sits a man made of
stone, named Joe...
The
poor one, with the shock of losing
his labor of forty years had turned into a stone and remained like that.
It
is not possible to think
about those who have reached a certain level of understanding to lock up
in a mechanical way a certain kind of behaviour pertaining to the essence
only by examining the reactions.
However,
when we look back, the
individual experiences many unpleasant events that come to the fore
through the astrological influences. These events may be the cause of
loosing the things that one has worked for
since many years. As a result of this the individual has to make
many comments about his righteousness on these events.
Therefore,
on the path of life it is necessary to take the necessary lessons from the
relations without feeling sorry and make oneself repress one’s feelings.
For reaching this purpose it is necesary to prevent oneself going to the
extremes and to evaluate, to make a very good use of
the "experience", in other words the messages that arise
from your relations very well.
Denial covers up the truth, the real.
The
individual should be ready for anything and everything
depending on the prevailing conditions.
The
position of "Joe",
the hero of this story is a
very good example for us. Don’t you think so?...
