Politics, is not a subject that I am dealing with in general, I try to observe the events with an objective look and at least try to be tolerant. This is my principle in life. The principle that I have observed and learned during my life time.

I never lead and direct anyone. Never say "Do this in this way, it must be like this". This is the same case in my daily routine and in religious matters as well. I only make recommendations, with a wish for success.

And, the experience gained throughout the years has shown me;

There is no place for excuses in the system prevailing in the Universe!… There is not a chance to repair the past. Therefore, one should be careful that all of his actions should be withing the framework of locig.

When we are unable to look at the events from this point, it is impossible to solve the arising problems.

The Government has ceased all the price increases in order to fight with the inflation However, there is an ongoing inrease in the prices. I remember very well, the increase in the prices started in 1976 ; now the year 2000 is knocking the door, and the prices are still increasing ! Every new comer to the Governmental offices is blaming the previous ones who were on duty.

In my opinion, the blue collar workers for the government and the retired people who are trying to lead their lives under heavy conditions, should not ask for a raise in their incomes. They must realize that the increase in the prices will be much more higher than the increase they'll receive in their solaries.

The living conditions of the poor are really depressing.

Let us have a brief look at the article of the author Necati Dogru, published in the newspaper Sabah, dated July 2 1997:

"Have you seen how the poor and the unemployed, rushed to "the bread distributed free of charge by the Municipality" in Tarsus? The Bread Factory, owned by the Municipality of Tarsus, was distributing free of charge bread as a promotion item, and it was a terrible scene to see how the people were struggling to have one piece of free bread…"

So, you may think about the rest.

In order to over come these problems, we don't have to be Hz Omer* …

The only thing is to be careful about the principle of acting with the scale of Allah, not with the scale of people…!

Under the roof of the Turkish Parliament, where the members who are the represantatives of the nation meet, we can see from time to time impulsive actions and insults.

Actually it is enough for, all people who think they are members of Islam to take as an example the actions of our prophet.

At this point I want to remind an went that was encountered by the messenger of Allah 's religion i.e. Our Prophet. This event is a perfect warning for us, because, living the results of one's understandings is the meaning of one's life.

As it has been told ;

Our Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him), when he was together with Hadrat el Abu Bakr, someone came and scolded Abu Bakr.

The closest friend of Allah 's Rasul, from the moment he approved His Prophecy, he has devoted his whole self for the development of the religion and has attained the stage of possessing a knowledge of the science of mysteries and signs, and the person who has been honored by our Prophet with the following words;

"If you put the faith of all people in one scale of a balance, and the faith of Abu Bakr on the other scale, his faith will be weighing heavier".

This precious person Abu Bakr upon hearing the insults, and scolding and the curses made to his father responded to him " I also curse your father ". When our Prophet heard these words he left him.

Abu Bakr (r.a) immediately followed him and asked sadly;

• Oh RasulAllah what has troubled you ?…
• Oh ! Abu Bakr, you didn't have to respond to that person, the angels were already responding to him…

Another important subject is the wrong attitude in evaluating Islam.

Now, let's come to the continuous education of eight years …

As you know in a record bruking period a law was passed to cancel the secondary scholls and to attach them to the primary schools. Thas, the compulsory education has started.

My humble self, wants to add one thing to the pont of view which considers as a "great loss" the closing of the secondary schools belonging to the Imam Hatip Lycees*.

Now, and before the curriculum of Imam Hatip High Scools (including their secondary schools) and the Faculties of Theology have not been sufficient to have an understanding of the religion. (Here, it is important to note that I am not talking about the level of sufficiency of the proffessors and the students)

With respect to the Koran and the Hadiths, the Religion of Islam is explaining a divine order, the system. Instead of accepting this, it is useless to see Islam as an agent of worship, and to limit the whole of the divine decrees with the concept of "prayers".

Religion, instead of being a phenomenon for a society, should be a subject which should be examined, and investigated very well.

It is important to know that Religion is present with the order of Allah, not in relation with the imaginations and taboos. What we have to do is to find out and live the conditions of the divine system and find the absolute creator of this system in our very own essence.

The first verse of the Revelations (Calla/Wahey) is "ikra" / read. What is meant by reading is to solve the order and relations of the Universe in which we live, and know its way of working. This is possible only by having the manners of the Koran and finding the meaning inherent in the Koran in one's own essence.

The value that the Quran has given to the human being is directly related to fact that the absolute self (essence) becomes evident in him/her. The hadith which says "The Quran and the human being are twins" is a very good indicator of this trace attributed to the human being. The grace fulness of the manners of Quran has reached the human beings with the decree "In the Religion there isn't any forcing, pressure and despotism". (Bakara 256)

For this reason it is important to melt in the in the pot of religion the various branches of science such as, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy. In the High Schools of theology these subjects are considered useful only for the "entrance exams of the universities, and are accepted only with the thought that they may be useful in practice." Apart from melting these subjects in the pot of religion, it is, important to investigate the latest technologies, and in short the popular science should be moved to the area of Religion.

Let us point out again, it is impossible to understand and live Islam with its true meaning unless Religion and Science meet on the same platform…

It is possible to attain this objective with a new intensive education programme starting from High Scool. With the studies to be made in this direction Enlightened men of Religion may groduate from these schools.

Especially, I want to emphasize that being dressed in accordance with the prevailing norms of the society doesn't bring the quality of the enlightened Religious man.

If we don't want to be the subject of the address "Your religion is to you, and my religion is to me" in the verse (Kafirun 6), we must not be inclined towards our own thoughts, but listen carefully to what our Prophet has told. We must get hold of Allah 's rope and be aware of the means and the goal.

Another problem which is needs to be solved is the traffic……..

There is not a day when we don't come across a news about the traffic terror in the TV, radio and the press.

Prof. Yasar Nuri Ozturk in summary says for this subject " the biggest and wildent monster of the world is in our hands" and as a solution sees the increase in railroads.

In his opinion one of the main reasons underliying the traffic disaster and the mischief is "the incifferrent attitude which closes its eyes to the negligence of the railways." (see Newspaper Hurriyet, sept.19.1997, 'The Talks of Friday'

For us, the situaiton is different …. The most important factor of 'talking lives' in the traffic and many other problems are the Astrologicalinfluences which most probably will be strange to you.

Because, most people couldn't reach beyond the prejudiced and superficial information, astrology is rejected without any judgement and deep thinking and it is named as "fortune telling" or "nonense". Those who are realistic and who may think objectively say that they are interested in the subject.

We shall leave these aside and when the time comes, we shall try to tell objectively what this science is.

It can be said that the lack of cultural activities among our people can be a second factor for the traffic chaos.

The percentage of book readers is low, we have no interest in cultural activities, and as a result when problems arise we do not know what to do and are unable to find solutions.

We shall later be speaking about the subject of traffic extensively.

Hoping that wisdom and science will be a guide for the events that may not have any change for compensation (recovery).

Now, at this point I want to remind you an incident which happened to the represantative (conveyon message) of Allah 's religion which is a real warning for us. Because, "contemplating and living its results" is.

* Hadrat Omar : One of the companions of Prophet Mohammad. Later on be became one of the four caliphs. He is famous with his justice.
