I want to start by talking about the Galaxy named as the Milkyway, which is
only one of the countless number of galaxies in the vast, endless and limitless
universe… With respect to the scientific data, there are 400
billions of suns in the Galaxy of Milkyway or maybe more… Only one of
these is our Sun and its system.
According to the astronomical evidence, there are 9 planets and
their satellites in the Solar system.
Each of these planets are moving in a special order around the Sun
in their own orbits.
Apart from the planets, there are the fixed stars, the comets,
astreoids, meteors, black holes, clouds of gas and dust.
Each of these planets have a unique, specific character and have
special meanings. The human being’s conscious, character, physical formation and
qualities are formed with respect to the influence of these planets.
Therefore, I think that it would be better to get to know these
planets well and form our thoughts accordingly.
As a matter of fact, in the olden times that extend to B.C., where
science was considerably primitive, people have become aware of the motions of the Sun and
the Moon and this interest has developed considerably in the centuries that have passed
since then.
The human beings have found out some of these qualities with their
senses and inspirations and they have directed their lives accordingly. However, they were
unable to solve the secrets.
Therefore, all they have done was to accept the Moon, Sun, and the
other stars and planets as a god and as a result they started to worship them.
The Planets, the Moon and the Sun have influences not only over
people, but over the animals, plants, material things, waters, to say it short they have
influence over all the units in the nature no matter it is alive or not…
Sun, which is the center of the system and the Moon which is the
satellite of the Earth are the two very important factors from the point of astrology. In
astrology, in the evaluation of the natal charts (maps) of the individuals, the positions
of the Sun and the Moon, their aspects with the houses, signs and other planets play an
important role.
The Moon stays in a sun sign for two and a half days, in this way it
completes its tour of the twelve sun signs.
At certain periods, the eclipses take place. Generally, once in
every four or five months there is a solar or a lunar eclipse. Each time, the eclipses
take place in a different sun sign, but in a special order.
The Moon is the satellite of the Earth and it is the closest
celestial body to the Earth. Its diameter is 3500 kilometers and has a distance of 384.000
kilometers from the Earth. Its orbit around the Earth is in the form of an elipse. It
completes its tour around the orbit in 28 days and 13 hours. The length of its motion
around its own axis is equal to the time of its motion around the Earth. Therefore, only
one face of the Moon can be seen from the Earth. Apart from the times of the lunar
eclipses, one half always receives the light rays of the Sun.
The Earth is a planet, therefore it is not a light radiating body.
It takes its light from the Sun, therefore behind its side which is
not turned towards the Sun, a shadow (darkness) that has a conical shape is formed. When
the Moon enters this cone, the lunar eclipse takes place.
If the moon’s orbit had not been inclined, then there would have
been a solar eclipse at every conjuction. The orbital plane of the moon makes an angle of
five degrees with the orbital plane of the Earth.
The lunar eclipse is influential over the feelings and the things
that we are doing are rather slowed down.
People, who belong to the same sun sign in which the lunar eclipse
has taken place are influenced more than the others.
At the time of the lunar eclipse, going on long journeys may create
some negative results.
It is not a proper time for taking new decisions. There may be some
problems regarding the finances. There may also be problems within the family and some
disruptions resulting from the change.
There could be dissappointments in love affairs. Especially, in the
sun sign in which the eclipse has taken place if there is a conjuction with a planet in
the same degree or an aspect of 180
degrees is formed, then it will not be possible to avoid the
difficulties that would arise in the direction of the meanings of these planets.
Normally, two times a year within the same month there is one solar
and one lunar eclipse. However, at the beginning of centuries this is different. In one
month there are two solar eclipses and one lunar eclipse or two lunar eclipses and one
solar eclipse.
This event is considered as the messenger of important things.
At the beginning of the years named as 19 hundreds, there were two
Lunar Eclipses and one Solar eclipse. In the year 2000, in July, there will be two solar
and one lunar eclipse taking place. You can learn more about this from the book named ‘’American
Ephemerides’’, which shows the daily positions of the planets.
The moon has a diameter of 3476 kilometers and it is accepted as a
small model of the Earth. Its mass is 1/8 of the earth, it doen’t have a specific
atmosphere (the run away speed is 2.4km/second), and its distance from the Earth is
approximately 384.000 kilometers. Therefore, it wouldn’t be realistic to consider the
Moon as turning around the Earth.
Actually, the Earth and the Moon turn together around the center of
attraction of the system. However, due to the differences such as the mass-pull, it is
becomes valid to say that the Moon is turning around the earth. During all this time only
one hemi- sphere of the Moon can be seen from the Earth.
THE FLOW and EBB of the TIDE (Med-Cezir)
The events of nature known as the flow and ebb of the tide take
place because of the changes in the positions of the Moon and the Sun.
The flow and the ebb is an event which results from the distortion
formed by the attraction force of one celestial body over the other.
These forces cause the flows and ebbs in the oceans, seas, land and
even in the atmosphere. In any case the most important among these is the one that takes
place in the sea.
Depending on the motions of the Sun, Moon and the Earth, the flow
and ebb lasts in different lengths of time. The most
significant flow and ebb takes place when the Sun and the Moon are
in the same direction, mainly during the phases of the New Moon and the Full Moon.
The flows and ebbs of a smaller scale take place in the first and
last quarters of the Moon. The attraction forces of the mass of the Moon, Sun and the
other celestial bodies cause changes in the nature. Similarly they have an influence on
the nature of the individual too. After all, the human being is a mass of energy which is
receptive to influences and which influences the others too…
The flow and the ebb (Med-Cezir) coincide with the phases of the New
and the Full Moons. Med means strong and Cezir means weak. In these periods, in the East
Asian Islands, in the Red Sea, in the Sea of the Antilles there is the little and big
cezir (weak ebb) that lasts the whole day long. In the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean
the cezir lasts half a day and in Phanda there is the little and the big ebb (cezir). In
Hawaii, there can be little and big tides (med).
THE PHASES OF THE MOON and THEIR INFLUENCE
The Moon is a satellite which reflects the light and the energy that
it receives from the Sun. In this way it plays a very important role over the activities
of the Earth.
The different phases of the Moon create changes in our behaviour,
intelligence, physical body, in short in our personality. The Moon has affects not only on
us, but over all the exisiting animals, plants, metals and liquids in the world. Since the
old days many sailors, fishermen, hunters, farmers, producers of drinks and perfumes who
were aware of these affects, were very keen to plan their works according to the phases of
the Moon.
In this way they had the right to obtain higher yields…
The Moon has some special qualities which cannot be seen in the
other planets of the Solar System. The main difference is that it moves at a high speed
and is changeable. It changes signs every 2.5 days. When compared to the Moon, the second
speedy planet is Mercury. It changes signs every 15-18 days except the periods of the
retrograde motion…
These qualities of the Moon reflect themselves in the Moon people
(people who belong to a Moon sign) as impatience, restlessness, sudden and frequent
changes of the mood and the feelings. The Moon is the ruler of the sun sign Cancer,
therefore people who belong to this sign are changeable and hasty. Also, they become more
energetic and lively during the night hours when the energy of the Moon is powerful.
On the contrary, in the sun sign Capricorn which is placed on the
opposite side of Cancer, the Moon has less power. The feelings are buried deep, they
become cold and dull. The second sun sign which the Moon loves is TAURUS and it has a lot
of problems. The sign in which it becomes ruthless is SCORPIO….
During the time when the Moon is transiting a sign, the individuals
who belong to that sign have an increase in their feelings, they become more sensitive and
excited. There can be events arising which cause the person to be happy or sad. It has an
affect on the morale. There is an increase in the energy and the electric potential.
However, this potential can be either positive or negative depending on the different
phases of the Moon and depending on the other factors which are influencing the
individual.
The second important specialty of the Moon is the different phases
that it has. Depending on the reflection of the light that it takes from the Sun; there
are the positions of the new moon, the first quarter, full moon, and the last quarter. The
moon goes through the 12 signs in 28 days, in this way it completes its tour, reaches the
Sun and cannot be seen in the last three days.
When it starts to move away from the Sun, as soon as the light
starts to be seen, it shows itself as the new moon.
The most powerful position of the moon is the time it joins the Sun.
The weakest time is when it is posited opposite the Sun…
During the time of the new moon the heat and humidity increase,
therefore the energy potential becomes very high. There is an increase in the bodily
liquids, the body gets stronger, the mind is more alert. All the activities pertaining to
love, profession, luck, education, training and health are in good order.
The body that has been ill becomes stronger, the process of recovery
is accelerated.
The new moon affects the animal world and the plants too. During the
first half there is an increase in the number of insects, flies and other animals. Their
desires to bite, eat and tear away into pieces increase. The plants, the trees and the
fruits grow more rapidly and get ripe more quickly. They are more tasty.
During the time of the full moon, the energy potential reaches its
highest level. The Moon’s powerful attraction force causes various changes in the human
body especially in the feelings, liquids, and the physical condition. This increased power
of energy may cause various explosions which are out of the individual’s control. There
can be increase in quarrels, murders, misunderstandings, and suicides… The
uncontrollable unconscious, the senses, hates and dislikes become active…
The best things to do during these periods are to cut or have cut
the hair, the beard, the moustache, and the nails.
Those people who sit or sleep across the light of the full moon
become lethargic, lazy, too much relaxed and inactive. The tastes of the meat change very
easily and they go sour very quickly…
Following the full moon, the coldness and dryness increase…
Productivity decreases. The blood in the blood vessels decrease.
The process of growth and expansion becomes slowed down.
There can be a decrease in the intelligence. The patients become
weaker and their complaints increase.
In animals, the aggressive desires get decreased. The plants, trees,
flowers and vegetables do not grow well. They don’t taste good.
There are three hypothesis regarding the moon.
1) The Moon was formed at the same time as the Earth.
2) In the volcanic ages, the Moon was formed by a portion which had
broken away from the Pacific Ocean.
3) The Moon has come from another part of the space. As an eaxample;
when the space stones brought by Apollo were examined it was found out that the Moon is
one million years older than the Earth.
